Mount Wombat is our mountain, she looms huge on the horizon, rising upwards in her splendour of granite and grit. Towering messmates and hidden fern gullies and winter coats of Moss and Lichen and the softest grasses that bid you to take of your shoes and meet the ground. In Springtime the flowering Orchids arrive, and in Autumn a hundred thousand orchids celebrate the wet. I’ve always thought of the ground as being a Prayer Rug that we walk upon. Where then? upon this mountain is not Holy?
